Lapis Lazuli is a deep blue semi-precious stone that is prized for its intense color and rarity. It has been used since ancient times for jewelry, carvings, and as a pigment for painting. It is composed mainly of the mineral lazurite and also contains other minerals such as calcite and pyrite. The finest lapis lazuli stones come from Afghanistan, but it can also be found in other countries such as Chile, Russia, and the USA.
Lapis Lazuli is associated with the third eye chakra, which is the center of intuition and spiritual insight. Wearing or carrying a piece of lapis lazuli is believed to enhance one's spiritual awareness and help to open the third eye chakra.
